The River Eden runs through the village, which flows to St Andrews and then into the North Sea. The nearest large city is Perth, although Edinburgh is only half an hour away by car. Gateside has a school football team and beat A primary school 3-2 at home in 2009. Gateside is a truly amazing place with amazing scenery, people and a great community.
