Gerbillus is a genus that contains most common gerbils. Traditionally the genera Dipodillus and Microdillus have been included in this genus by some authorities. In 2010, after morphological and molecular studies Dipodillus was ranged as a subgenus of Gerbillus.[1]:{{{3}}}
