Hong Si Young (Korean: 홍시영), better known by his stage name, Giriboy (Korean: 기리보이), is a South Korean rapper and producer signed to Just Music Entertainment.[1][2]

Career

Giriboy debuted in 2011 with the single "You Look So Good to Me," released by Just Music Entertainment, a label recently founded by rapper Swings. The following year, he released the mini-album, Fatal Album, much of which he had written years earlier as a high school student. He released another mini-album, Fatal Album II, later that year[3]

In 2014, Giriboy competed on season three of the TV show, Show Me The Money.[4] That year, he also entered the top 100 of the Gaon Digital Chart for the first time, with the single, "Fluttering Feelings," a collaboration with singer NS Yoon-G. The song ultimately reached #6 on the chart.[5][6]

Giriboy appeared on the reality show, No Mercy, in 2015, during which he collaborated on songs with the contestants (who would ultimately form the K-pop group Monsta X) and with popular artists Soyou and Mad Clown.[7][8] He also released the album, Sexual Perceptions, which reached #10 on the Gaon Album Chart in March.[9]

In 2016, he released his fourth album, Mechanical Album.[10]
