Import-Export Partner Organizations[4]

Import-Export Information

GlobalTrade.net can be used by professionals to find global trade service providers as well as relevant information. The categories of service providers on the website include legal, trade support organizations, transportation and logistics, taxes and accounting, marketing and communications, sales and distribution and travel services. GlobalTrade.net publishes international reports from the United States Commercial Service, the Foreign Agricultural Service of the United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, UK Trade & Investment as well as other partner organizations. FITA has also formed partnerships with several international management education institutions such as the European International Business Academy. Publication of reports from these institutions is designed to facilitate export opportunities for companies. They also offer market surveys by country and recommendations for approaching each global trade market.

Professional Services for Importers and Exporters

Any international trade service provider can create a profile and join the global database. Professionals are able to select experts such as international marketing consultants, import/export companies, trade finance companies, banks, freight forwarders, quality control firms, lawyers, accountants, customs brokers, instructors and insurance providers for their global operations.

B2B Service Websites

Dynamic B2B services spanning many categories are offered by businesses such as Companeo (operating in France and select European countries), BuyerZone (USA) and QuinStreet (USA). With all such marketplaces, however, leads are only offered domestically. Although Companeo is active in multiple European countries they only operate through only one site per country. The B2B global trade service is essentially a niche market with GlobalTrade.net being an online marketplace connecting service providers and trading companies worldwide.

GlobalTrade.net has signed partnership agreements with three major B2B marketplaces : Alibaba.com, Kompass and Thomasnet: ranked 1st, 13th and 18th in the world respectively by bridgat.com (November 2010).[5]
