Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri is recognized as a young renowned Islamic scholar widely, who is a prolific orator and an energetic human rights campaigner and internationally highlighting Islam as a religion of peace and harmony for all mankind. Dr. Hassan was declared as a well acknowledged young “Muslim and Champion of Unity worldwide” by the FARS[1] news agency of Iran. He is the Chairman of Supreme Council at Minhaj-ul-Quran International.[2][3][4] Alike his father[5] Dr. Hassan stands for promoting peace and harmony in the society.

Early life and background

Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri is the eldest son of Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri.

Academic career

Dr. Hassan has received his Doctorate degree from the biggest Islamic University located in Cairo Egypt. Dr. Hassan has written a comprehensive thesis in Arabic titled ‘The Constitution of Medina and Modern Constitutional Principles’ (A Comparative Study of American, British & European Constitutional Law), he graduated in Law and humanities from Punjab University, classical Islamic sciences from Minhaj University[6] Lahore, MSC from City University London. He studied Classical Islamic Sciences under renowned scholars in the Arab world in-particular Syria and Egypt.

Activism

Dr. Hassan Qadri is making efforts to promote social, political, or economic change with the desire to make improvements in society and to correct social injustice with the reference of Islamic values and teachings. Dr. Hassan is currently the Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, which is recognized as one of the largest non-profitable organizations in the world. Minhaj-ul-Quran (MQI) is an organization with its networks in more the 90 countries. Dr. Hassan overlooks the imperative striving work on a globally level in many dimensions of the society to promote education, moderation, interfaith harmony and global peace.

Positions

Other than having the position of the Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr. Hassan is also currently, the Head (Principal) of the Boards of Governors for Minhaj University Lahore (Pakistan). Dr. Hassan overlooks polices and producers of the University. Dr. Hassan also heads the Minhaj Education Society (MES) which is the largest non-governmental educational network in Pakistan which has more the 637 schools and colleges and an endorsed University (Minhaj University Lahore), and finally the head of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF),[7] a welfare organization where Dr. Hassan monitors, and makes sure basic living necessities reach the needy.

Publications

Dr. Hassan Qadri in addition to be a great young scholar, is authoring many books on various topics on; Human Rights in Islam, Politicics, Histor, Law and Management and many more. He has published a number of journals so far.
