Hoskinstown is a town in Palerang Council, New South Wales, Australia. The town is 32.6km South East of Canberra the Capital city of Australia, and 235.87km SouthWest of Sydney. It is located at 149.4512°E, -35.4203°S, and is 761ms above Sea level.

The town is known for Canberra Magnetic Observatory[1][2] and Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope operated by the University of Sydney.

The Railway closed in Aug 1968,[3] and the Catholic Church is dedicated to Saint Peter and Paul.
