Humberto Moré

Humberto Moré (1929–1984) was an Ecuadorian painter, sculptor and muralist, poet, writer, and art critic.[1]

He was a contemporary of Enrique Tábara, Luis Molinari and Estuardo Maldonado, a group of young artists who began an art revival in Guayaquil in the 1950s an 60's.[2]

Biography

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Humberto Moré was born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador with the birth name Humberto Lalot Rivadeneira Plata. At the age of 20 he married Juana Chaw Cotallat with whom he had 7 children. He died in Cuba of cancer in 1984 where he had gone to undergo treatment.
