The Indian Medical Association (IMA), is a national voluntary organisation of Doctors of Modern Scientific System of Medicine in India, which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well being of the community at large.[1] It was established in 1928 [2] as the All India Medical Association, renamed "Indian Medical Association" in 1930. It is a society registered under The Societies Act of India. Its headquarters is at Delhi, and it has over 220,000 member doctors [3][4] through more than 1,650 active local branches in 29 States and Union Territories in India.

Journal of the Indian Medical Association

Indian Medical Association previously published a journal called Journal of the Indian Medical Association. It is no longer published.

Indian Medical Students' Association

On 5 October 2013, Indian Medical Students' Association, IMSA was inducted as official students wing of Indian Medical Association, National HQ, New Delhi[citation needed].
