Jupiter Christian School is a private school in Jupiter, Florida. It was established in 1963 and serves approximately 600 students in preschool through 12th grade.
History
Jupiter Christian School opened in September 1963.[2]
It is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school is also a member of Christian Schools of Palm Beach County and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
Curriculum
Curriculum consists of a single class for 1st through 4th grade. 5th and 6th grades alternate classes, but keep the same students within classes. No students attend classes with different students than their homeroom. 7-12 grades perform a non-block, 7 period class schedule.
Extracurricular activities
The school's athletic teams attend the Florida High School Athletic Association competition. Teams are fielded in baseball, basketball, cheer leading, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, track and field, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling.
State championship titles held by the school's teams include:
- Football: 2007 (1B), 2008 (1B)[3]
New as of 2011 is the Fine Arts Academy. Students have the choice of attending 2 fine arts classes: 2-D art, theater, choir, and praise and worship band. From grades 7-12 the options are musical theater, 2-D art, ceramics, and praise and worship band.
