Kisi Inc is a cloud-managed smartphone access control system for offices in the United States. It offers keyless door entry where users can open doors with smartphone access.

History

Kisi was founded in 2012, where it grew out of a small start up office in Munich, Germany.[citation needed] Formerly known as Kisibox, it was one of the 13 winners in 2012's Gründerwettbewerb - IKT Innovativ hosted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Germany) (BMWi).

Kisi was officially launched in March 2013, after winning the a cash prize of $35,000 from the NYC Next Idea Competition hosted in New York City.[1]

Kisi has won awards from both the international tech and commercial real estate communities.[2][3]

Product Description

KISI is a keyless access control system that uses smartphone keys instead of traditional key cards or fobs.[4] The KISI product is a combination of hardware and software, operating on a SaaS model.[5] It is compatible with most building's intercom or access control systems and integrates with existing infrastructure through wireless connection, Bluetooth or Near Field Communication technologies.[6]
