Kaala-Gomen is a commune in the North Province of New Caledonia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean.

The city was founded on its present site in 1899, with a committee appointed by the municipal government. The city council was first elected in 1961.

It is located on the territory of the former mining village of Tiebaghi, which was the largest chromium mine in the world from 1902 to 1964.

The highest point is Ouazangou-Taom (1092 m).
