Kabuntalan (formerly Tumbao[2]) is a 6th class municipality of Maguindanao, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 16,794 people in 4,603 households.

The town was part of the province of Shariff Kabunsuan from October 2006 until its nullification by the Supreme Court in July 2008.
