The Kakavand are a Laki speaking Yarsan tribe.

History

The Kakavandi tribe have very close relations with the Jalilavand tribe, they share many of same history and both have close ties to the Zand tribe. The Kakavandi people are believed to originate in Kermanshah. It can also be said that they could have branched off of Jalilavand tribe or Zand tribe. They are very well known to populate the Hersin city of Kermanshah where they mirgated into during the Shah Abbas era. If not largest, they are one of the largest Laki tribes.

Location

They mainly reside in Harsin, a city in the Kermanshah province, also reside in Koohdasht, Lorestan along with other Laki speaking tribes like Jalilavand, Delfan. And also Kordestan, Qazvin, Kermanshah, and Iraq.[1]
