Kallur is a village in the Gubbi subdistrict of the Tumkur district of Karnataka state in India.[1] It is mainly known for its handloom silk sarees. Major attractions in this village are Sri Rama Mandira(Temple), Kallur Lake, Sri Rudra muni Swamy temple and Doddamma temple. In Rama Mandira temple the god Rama, Sita, Laksmana and Hanumantha are made up of White Stone (Amrutha shile). Panduranga (Vijaya Vittal) temple built in recent days[when?] (in 2009) and is very beautiful. It is also famous for an annual Festival called DODDAMMANA HABBA which is celebrated after 21 days form the festival ugadi. People from all over Karnataka gather to seek the Blessing of LORD DODDAMMA. Major attraction of the festival is, people sacrifice Bull for the Goddess.The major caste in this village is Hindu Devanga. The Handloom work is being performed by traditionally, this work is transferred from their ancestors (Vamshya parampare). The village is spread on the bank of Shimsha river.

A Pre-University College called SVS Gangothri Pre University College, (having its management at Chikkakallur) Siddaganga High School (Siddaganga mutt's school) and Pragathi Schools are major Private Educational Institutions imparting Education in the village. Sri K G Nagarajappa, Poet is from this village. It has grama Panchayath. The village is blessed with the natural resources.

There is a person called NATARAJ K G, a social server, who is working hard day and night for the upliftment of this village. His contribution to the village is, he has donated his Agricultural land for the construction of an Hospital, Built Roads, Ensured the village has mobile connectivity.
