King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are an Australian psychedelic rock band, who formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010.[1][2]

The band are noted for their energetic live performances and their prolific recording output. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's early work saw them primarily perform in a style that blended 1960s surf music, garage rock and psychedelic rock; they have more recently begun to experiment with a broader range of influences, including elements of film music, folk, jazz, soul, Krautrock and heavy metal.[citation needed]

Their eighth full-length album, Nonagon Infinity, was released worldwide on 29 April 2016.[3] Described by frontman Stu Mackenzie as a 'never-ending album', it features nine songs connected by musical motifs which flow 'seamlessly' into each other with the last track 'linking straight back into the top of the opener like a sonic mobius strip'.[4] On 8 March the band released a video for the first single, "Gamma Knife".[5] It contained a riff from the song "People Vultures" which was premiered on April 4.[6]
