Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute
The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI, Korean: 한국전기연구원) is a non-profit government-funded research institute in Republic of Korea. As of 2008, KERI has about 530 employees including 300 researchers.
Overview
Established in 1976, KERI (Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute) is a non-profit government-funded research organization that has been at the forefront of technological excellence. KERI has been contributing to research on electrotechnology and testing of power apparatus as a Korean government-sponsored institute. Main office is in Changwon, Republic of Korea and two branches are in Ansan and Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. For last 30 years, accumulated expertise, dedicated facilities and innovative instruments have achieved impressive results in industry and in power business.
History
- 1976.12.29 Korea Electric Research and Testing Institute(KERTI) was established
- 1981.01.20 Korea Electrotechnology and Telecommunications Research Institute(KETRI) was established (Consolidation of KERTI and KTRI)
- 1985.06.17 Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI) was separated from KETRI
