Llyn Aled is a lake on Mynydd Hiraethog in the Conwy County Borough.[1] It is situated north of the A543 and to the north-east of village Pentrefoelas. It is a natural lake, however a dam was built to increase its size; it has an area of 112.7 acres and is 1,227 feet above sea level. One can reach the river via the A543. There are a number of varieties of fish in the lake, including Northern Pike (we just call them "Pike" in UK. "The "Northern" bit is from USA) . The lake was used by the Llyn Aled Yacht Club (Glwb Hwylio Llyn Aled). This club has long ceased to exist, over-shadowed by the close and much larger Llyn Brenig)

Llyn Aled feeds the Llyn Brenig reservoir.[2] The lake is also the source of the River Aled, which flows eastward.
