Malmonde are a French band formed in 1999. Their music is a mix of death grunt vocals and industrial metal, which they describe as "cyber metal". Their use of electronic sounds have led them to be compared with such bands as Samael, the Kovenant and Rammstein. They have been the opening act for touring bands such as Behemoth, Epica, and Misanthrope.

Biography

Malmonde was first formed at the end of 1999. Influenced by other rock bands such as Rammstein, Samael or even Meshuggah, their sound is created by mixing metal and electronic samples. After their demo was released in 2001, Malmonde produced their self-titled debut album themselves. It was released in 2003 by Osmose Production. They left Osmose in June 2004, and started the autoproduction of their second album, Eva. Though it was completed in January 2005, they had to wait until July to find a distribution contract with Musicast Distribution. The album was released in October, but is for the moment only distributed in France.
