Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Kuttikanam (MBC), Peermade, Idukki, Kerala, India is a self-financed engineering college founded in 2001 and run by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in Kerala. The college is situated on a 77-acre (310,000 m2) campus amidst tea gardens at Pothuppara in the picturesque Peermade hill station, 80 km from Kottayam.

The chairman of the college is Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose II, the Catholicos of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church , Kerala, India.

The college has six branches of engineering:

  • Electronics and Communication(120 seats; since 2001)
  • Computer Engineering(60 seats; since 2001)
  • Electrical and Electronics(60 seats)
  • Mechanical Engineering (since 2005)
  • Civil Engineering [since 2010]

Infrastructure

MBC is a fully residential engineering college with four hostels for men and women. There are residential quarters for the Principal, married and bachelor faculty members.

Groups

The college has a Linux Users Group (MBC-LUG) meeting in a computer center with 60 machines.
