Marco Barrientos (Ciudad de México, June 28, 1963) is an Evangelical Christian Music artist, pastor, teacher, and internationally renowned speaker known for his unique ability to combine practical biblical principles with the flow of prophetic songs that produces a powerful experience of God's presence.

Barrientos is best known for his albums "Sin Reservas", "Es Hora De Adorarle", "Transformados", and "Ilumina". He's been nominated for several Latin Grammy Awards, and is winner of multiple Premios ARPA. He's frequently featured on projects with fellow worship artists such as Miel San Marcos, Hillsong, Generación 12, among others.

Biography

Born in Mexico, Barrientos graduated from the Bible Institute Christ for the Nations in 1985. He is a worship leader and international speaker, and since his graduation, he has been in full-time ministry, beginning as associate pastor of "Amistad Cristiana" in Mexico City. He remained there for 13 years, and then he founded the ministry "Amistad Cristiana Internacional" and the music label "Aliento Producciones", of which he is president.

Barrientos has 30 recordings of praise and worship, and is the author of the books "El plan de Dios para ti" (God's plan for you) and "Muéstrame Tu Gloria" (Show Me Your Glory). He travels extensively, carrying the conference "Aliento del Cielo" throughout the world and more recently to ELAM, "Escuela de Líderes y Artes del Ministerio" (School of Leadership and Art of Ministry). In 2004, he and his wife began the church "Centro Internacional Aliento" in Arlington, Texas.

Barrientos is a graduate of practical theology and has developed a strategic alliance with CFNI, where he is a Bible teacher. He and his wife, Carla, have been married for fifteen years and currently reside in Dallas, Texas, along with their two children, Daniela and Marco.[citation needed]

He is also the director and host of "Avivanos", (Revive us) an annual worship conference part of Amistad Cristiana Internacional, Inc.[1][2][3]
