National Highway 222 (NH 222) is an Indian National Highway running within the states of Maharashtra and Telangana connecting the city of Kalyan near Mumbai in Maharashtra to Nirmal in Telangana.
It connects National Highway 3 at Kalyan and National Highway 7 at Nirmal. NH 222 also intersects National Highway 50 at Ale and National Highway 211 at Gevrai.
It runs for a distance of 610 kilometers with 550 km in Maharashtra and 60 km in Telangana. This is one of the longest highway in Maharashtra. The road passes through the Malshej Ghat.[1]
