Nancy Marie Pimental (born May 31, 1965) is an American actress and film and television writer.

Life and career

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Pimental attended Somerset High School, graduating in 1983 and she graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority with a degree in chemical engineering in 1987.[1] From 1998 to 2001, Pimental was one of the writers of South Park, and in 2002, she wrote the script for the film The Sweetest Thing. She also replaced Jimmy Kimmel as co-host of the Comedy Central game show Win Ben Stein's Money from 2000 to 2002 when she was replaced by Sal Iacono. [2]

Pimental is best friends with actress Kate Walsh of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.[3]

In 2010, Pimental joined the staff of the Showtime dramedy Shameless, as a writer and producer. Now, in its fifth season, she serves as writer and supervising producer.
