Nippon Maru (日本丸?) is a Japanese museum ship. It is permanently docked in Yokohama harbor, in Nippon Maru Memorial Park.[1]

History

Nippon Maru was built in Kobe in 1930. It was a training ship for the cadets of the Japanese merchant marine.[2]

The ship became a museum in 1984.[2]

Other ships

Nippon Maru was also the name of Kuki Yoshitaka's ship during the Toyotomi invasion of Korea.

Nippon Maru was also the name of a ship during the Russo-Japanese War.[3]
