Old Beach is a suburb of Hobart based in the municipality of Brighton, Tasmania, Australia. Old Beach is an adjacent part of the Gagebrook area which is a low socio-economic suburb on Hobarts' Eastern shore. It is approximately 7km from the Baskerville Raceway.[1]

History

Old Beach Post Office opened on 11 January 1866 and closed in 1975.[2] The nearest Post Offices are in Green Point Road Bridgewater 5km away and Sugarloaf Road Risdon Vale 7km distant.
