Perks Matriculation Higher Secondary School, India, is part of Perks Institutions and run by the Ramaswami Naidu and Ramaranganathan charities, Coimbatore. Perks Institutions, Located four miles away from the Heart of the city in Sylvan Surrounding and Suvae environment is run by the Ramaswami Naidu and Ramaranganathan charities Coimbatore. The Management runs a children's school, Matriculation School, Higher Secondary School & a Computer Centre with Internet facility which is open to the public also especially for the college students who can learn the latest courses and the employed peoples. Various university correspondence courses are also conducted here, University of Madras conducts various exams here, The Annamalai University conducts besides various exams seminar classes also. The Madurai Kamaraj University Seminar classes of various courses and exams are conducted here. The post Graduate Computer Application course of the Madurai University is conducted in the Perks Computer Center.

Founder

Rama Ranganathan, founder of Perks Institutions, A Lok Shree awardee, is credited with having brought Davis Cup tournament to Coimbatore as early as 1975. He also constructed the first Pyramid in India. He died on Nov 10, 2009, He was 83 and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Pyramid

The Perks campus is known for the pyramid[1] that was constructed in 12 by the founder and correspondent Lokshree. Sri Rama Ranganathan has published books on Pyramid.

Sports

Perks school is noted for its sporting tradition and success. The Perks Tennis Academy is situated on the campus.

Notable Alumni:

  • Madura Ranganathan, previously ranked No.1 in India in the U18 age group.
  • Sriram Balaji, previously ranked No.1 in India and now ranking No.14 in the U18 age group.
  • Navaneetha Kannan

All three had a month of specialised training at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA) in Florida, USA.
