Phil Drummond is an English electronic music producer, best known for his producing work with Xpansions, (with actress/voice actress Sally Ann Marsh on vocals)

Biography

Phil Drummond's professional career in dance music started when he was still in school and has evolved and remains at the forefront of the house scene since. In the 1990s, Phil has managed to score 4 UK top 40 singles as Xpansions and Marradonna, appeared on the BBC One TV show “Top of the Pops” He has been the DJ for many fashion houses and award ceremonies such as "The Brit Awards" for ITV, MTV and after-show/end of tour parties for acts including Robbie Williams, Jamiroquai and The Rolling Stones. Phil has represented some of the world's biggest companies and events and headlined many of the world's best clubs alongside the worlds premier DJs, playing in over 60 countries to date as a solo artist

Behind the scene Phil has been a key figure in London's Clubland for the last 10 years working on various parties such as the huge UCL events with the likes of Calvin Harris, Mark Knight, Axwell, Chris Lake, Sebastien Leger, Zane Lowe, Dirty Vegas etc. to underground house and techno parties around, such as Retox at Sosho with acts, BookaShade, Tiefschwarz, Luciano, M.A.N.D.Y etc.

Currently, Phil has been instrumental in Asia's new scene. Now residing in Thailand and using his extensive contacts built up over the years he has already managed to attract acts such as Roger Sanchez, Nic Fanciulli, Seb Fontaine, L&B, Darren Emerson, Shapeshifters, Sandy Rivera, Steve Mac, Thomas Gandy, Funk D’Void, Krafty Kuts etc. to play alongside him and business partner Jon-Jak with their own brand, Luna Events. He is still touring extensively worldwide for his Ministry of Sound residency and guesting at Nikki Beach venues on a regular basis.

Career

His professional career has spanned over 18 years, In this time, has been involved in numerous UK chart hits and been an influential figure in London's clubland for the last 10 years, having tenures in several successful club nights in the UK and Ibiza and is the only DJ to have headlined at The Royal Albert Hall twice for Black & White in 1995 and the Red Hot Ball in 1997. Phil Drummond has played in most major venues in the UK and worked with some of the biggest club companies across the world such as Ministry of Sound, Subliminal, Cream, Pacha, Amnesia, Space, the Cross, Fabric, and Matter. Drummond began his career in the early 1990s and has assisted in producing 4 top 10 records titled "Xpansions" and "Maradonna" alongside Richie Malone while signed to Arista and PWL. He was signed to DTPM Recordings as "Chace" and as "Phil Drummond"[dead link][1] Phil Drummond was featured in the book, "DJs" by Lopez, published by AAPPL alongside 100 of the worlds top DJs. In September 2009 Drummond joined Dominic Madden's Kingdom Entertainment group. KEG acquired The Dex Nightclub, voted Mixmag's best club of the Year 2008. Kingdom Group also owns the online entertainment ticket agency, Bookings First, which launched in March 2009.[citation needed]

Film career

As a child, he was cast in the feature film 'Hope and Glory' and was recently cast in Nick Love's remake of Gary Oldman's 'The Firm' but had to be replaced after having a serious motorcycle accident just after filming started.[citation needed]
