Rakusaiguchi Station (洛西口駅 Rakusaiguchi-eki?) is a train station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. It was opened on March 16, 2003, and serves the communities nestled between Katsura and Muko.

Layout

The station has two side platforms serving two tracks. At the station, work to elevate the tracks is ongoing and planned to complete by March 2016.[2] On October 26, 2013, the Kawaramachi-bound platform was moved to the new elevated track. Each platform has its own ticket gate.[3]

Usage

In fiscal 2012 (April 2012 to March 2013), about 1,438,000 passengers started travel from this station annually. For historical data, see the table below.[4]
