Ranjith Sankar is an Indian screenwriter, producer and film director. He started his movie career with the acclaimed 2009 thriller film Passenger.[1] He has followed with movies Arjunan Saakshi,[2] Molly Aunty Rocks, Punyalan Agarbattis, Varsham and Su.. Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam.

Biography

Born in Thrissur, Kerala, India, Ranjith Sankar completed his education from M A College of Engineering, Kothamangalam. It all began with his love for storytelling. He likes to think he is a writer first and then a director. Shankar’s writing career began with television series such as Nizhalkal and American Dreams.

His big break in films came through Passenger released in 2009, which subsequently won accolades from critics and audience.

In 2011, his next film Arjunan Saakshi, starring Prithviraj, was released. It was inspired by his real-life experiences and won positive reviews from the critics.

Molly Aunty Rocks (2012) starring Revathy and Prithviraj was a critical and commercial success, as well as Punyalan Agarbattis (2013), featuring Jayasurya, Nyla Usha, Innocent, Rachana Narayanankutty and Aju Varghese. His next movie Varsham starring Mammootty, Asha Sarath and Mamta Mohandas was released in November 2014. This was followed by a biographical film Su.. Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam in November 2015.
