Roberto Jacoby (born 1944) is an Argentinian artist and sociologist.
Biography
Jacoby was born in Buenos Aires in 1944. In 1966, along with Eduardo Costa and Raúl Escari, he promoted an art for communications media.[1][2]
He was a member of the so-called "generación del Di Tella" (Instituto Di Tella) and is considered one of the first conceptual artist of the world. He participated on many exhibitions as "Experiencias del 68" and "Tucumán arde". He investigated social conflicts and epistemology subjects and wrote for the band Virus that began a new Argentinian rock wave on the 1980s.
