Sean Richard Goss, better known as Sean Goss is a German midfielder who currently plays for Manchester United (U-21). The player has been compared to most often is the midfielder he replaced against PSG in July;
Michael Carrick - and he is not shy in expressing his admiration for the England international.[1][2] He is a lifelong Manchester United supporter and has posted pictures of himself on social media wearing replica shirts as a youngster.

Career

Exeter

At the age of eight when Sean's family shifted to England, he was offered the chance to join Exeter City FC. He readily accepted it and spent eight years at Exeter Academy and in the U-18 squad. Aged nine, Goss was selected to be a mascot for United's third-round FA Cup clash with Exeter at Old Trafford in January 2005. The game ended in a draw and it was the first time he played against with great footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes. In his early days at Exeter, he was known for his ability in front of goal, scoring 13 times for their Centre of Excellence side in his final season.

Manchester United

Sean got the chance to return to Manchester in a playing capacity during the 2011/12 season when he was offered trials at United's training complex, seizing his opportunity with a goal and an assist in his very first practice match. United's U18 boss Paul McGuinness invited him to play as a guest player in the Aegon Future Cup in Amsterdam in April 2012, where Goss featured in the final against Ajax, although missing the crucial spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out.

As he has climbed through the ranks he has been asked to take on more defensive duties, being played at right-back when he first broke into Butt's U19 set-up and also playing in an unfamiliar left-back role in a freezing cold UEFA Youth League game against Shakhtar Donetsk. Goss got signed up for Manchester United (U-18) on July 11, 2012, but picked up an injury and missed eight months of the 2012/13 season. After regaining fitness, he impressed everyone during the 2013/14 campaign by scoring six goals and earning the chance to train with the first team mid-way through the season.He then moved on to play for Manchester United U-21 on July 1, 2014.[3] Despite missing three months of the 2014/15 campaign through injury, he rose in the eyes of Louis van Gaal as his side won the U21 title. On 26 March 2016, it was seen that he has been ruled for rest of the season due to injury.[4]
