Location of Shaughnessy Alberta
Shaughnessy is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada within the Lethbridge County.[1] It is located on Highway 25, approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) north of Lethbridge. It is named after Baron Shaughnessy, chairman of the mining company that ran the town.[2]
Demographics
As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Shaughnessy had a population of 384 living in 149 of its 161 total dwellings, a -4.2% change from its 2006 population of 401. With a land area of 0.34 km2 (0.13 sq mi), it had a population density of 1,129/km2 (2,930/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
