Steve Hobbs is an American politician of the Democratic Party representing Washington's 44th District in the Washington State Senate.
Political Career
He has represented District 44 in the Washington State Senate since 2006.[1] He is a co-Chair of Financial Institutions Housing & Insurance [2] and currently sits on the following committees:
- Financial Institutions Housing & Insurance (co-Chair)
- Agriculture Policy
- Transportation (Vice Co-Chair)[3]
In 2012, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination to the United States House of Representatives from Washington's 1st district.
Education
Hobbs has received an associate's degree from Everett Community College, a bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Washington, and a Master's of Public Administration from the University of Washington Evans School.[1]
Personal information
Hobbs has served in the Washington Army National Guard and has been to Kosovo and Iraq. [1] Hobbs has been married to his wife, Pam Hobbs, since 1995. He also has three sons named Gavin, Truman, and Winston.
