Steven C. Wade (born 1983) is a Massively Multi-player Online Game/MMORPG veteran who has created and introduced several online computer games to the western markets, including: A Tale in the Desert Series from eGenesis, Last Chaos from Aeria Games, and most recently, Dragon Oath from the NASDAQ listed Changyou.com Ltd. He is also the founder of MMOsmart, supporting games for many internationally known brands and companies, including Disney and Warner Bros.
Wade currently specializes in the localization & operations of Free-to-Play MMOs to North American audiences on multiple platforms with, 45 MMOGS, 4 Gaming Payment Solutions, & 8 Game Portals to his credit.
He was join with PT. WGS(Walden Global Services) from Indonesia since 2013.
Biography
Born October 29, 1983 in Moundsville, West Virginia, Wade grew up in the towns of Benwood and Glen Dale in Marshal County, attending John Marshall High School and West Virginia University.
Wade has carved a niche for himself in the US online gaming market since 1997, starting his first company Spoofcom at the age of 14. Realizing the true potential of the video gaming market, he generated revenues of over 100k in virtual goods during the first year of the company’s inception.
In 2002, Spoofcom developed into MMOsmart, expanding its services to marketing and public relations. The company won several awards and eventually became a founding contributor to MMORPG media: Stratics.com, IGN- Vault Networks, MMORPG.com, and Warcry.com.
In 2006, MMOsmart expanded its services further to partner in the initial development of Aeria Games with Aeria.jp. The Company was subsequently Aqui-hired by Aeria Games in August 2006.
In 2007, Wade was also honored as one of the inaugural speakers at the Login Conference in Seattle, Washington. When it was still known as the Online Game Developers Conference [1]
In April 2009, Wade's second Company Zyon Games Inc was Aqui-hired by the NASDAQ listed Changyou.com for the development of their Western Game portal.
In February 2013, Wade created Boilingcore.com a Publishing platform for Free-to-Play Massively Multi-player Online Game which was acquired by private investors 7 months later.
