Thomas Broadus "Dad" Amis (August 26, 1895 – October 14, 1964) was the third head football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas and he held that position for four seasons, from 1924 until 1927. His career coaching record at Howard Payne was 25 wins, 12 losses, and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him sixth at Howard Payne in total wins and fourth at Howard Payne in winning percentage (.667).[2] Amis played college football for William Alexander's Georgia Tech Golden Tornado.
