  1. After the Statute of Westminster came into effect in 1931, the United Kingdom no longer represented the British Empire in world affairs.
  2. "The Prime Minister of Canada (during the Treaty of Versailles) said that there were 'only three major powers left in the world the United States, Britain and Japan' ...
