Thea Garrett (born 15 March 1992) is a Maltese singer and jewellery designer[1] who represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo.
Biography
Born in Malta in 1992, Thea studied vocal technique and interpretation under local Maltese soprano Gillian Żammit. She also did an evening course in musical theater at the Masquerade Theatre School, acquiring qualifications accredited by Trinity Guildhall College.[citation needed]
Eurovision 2010
In 2010, Garrett won the Maltese national final to represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "My Dream". Garrett performed in the first semi-final on 25 May 2010 in Oslo, Norway.[2][3] but failed to qualify for the final, placing 12th and released her first single, Frontline.
Thea Garrett moved to London to study musical theatre in 2014 and now designs jewellery. She has said on local Maltese television that she has no plans to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest again at present but does not rule out the possibility in the future.[4]
