U.S. Girls is an American-Canadian indie pop band, whose core member is Meghan Remy.[1] Formed in the United States in 2007 as a noise-pop project, Remy later moved the band to Toronto after marrying Canadian musician Max "Slim Twig" Turnbull.[2]

She released music on a variety of independent labels in both the United States and Canada before signing to 4AD in 2015.[3] Her first record for that label, Half Free, was released the same year.[4]

Half Free garnered a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2016.[5]
