Upsilon1 Ceti

Upsilon1 Ceti (U Ceti), is a star located in the constellation Cetus. Upsilon1 Ceti is also known as 59 Cet, and HD 12274.
Upsilon1 Ceti is an K7III Giant star with an effective temperature of 3900 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +4.0, and an absolute visual magnitude of -0.835. It is located 300 light years from the Sun, and has a mass of 1.4 solar masses, and is estimated to be 50 solar radii, as recorded through direct angular measurement.
