Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates
The Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) is a national organization of 200+ non-NCAA, women's college lacrosse programs organized and run by US Lacrosse, the national governing body. The mission of the WCLA is to promote the growth of women’s lacrosse nationwide. Specifically, WCLA strives to provide an infrastructure in which collegiate clubs will compete and eventually crown a National Champion. Leadership opportunities exist on the local, regional and national levels as WCLA is a representation of teams at all levels. Until January 2011, the WCLA was known as The US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates (WDIA).

WCLA Conferences
There are 12 leagues composing the WCLA along with a category for independents. However, by 2012, all WCLA members must be affiliated with a league. The Association regulates different aspects of the teams including minimum number of games played. A recent modification the WCLA has made to the rules allows Community Colleges to become members. Team's that have been classified as either Division I or Division II have the opportunity to compete in a national championship each spring under US Lacrosse.
