Xanthodes intersepta is a moth of the Nolidae family.[1] It is found in India, Sri Lanka,[2] Myanmar, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Ryukyu Islands, Philippines, Indonesia and Java.[3]

Description

Similar to sympatric species Xanthodes transversa. Differs from X. transversa in having the pure white palpi pure white. Vertex of head whitish. Thorax and abdomen bright yellow. Legs reddish brown. Tibia covered with long hairs. Fore wings bright yellow. Transverse black lines are reduced to a series of specks. Antemedial series curved. There is a large bright rufous triangular patch runs from just below the apex. Cilia rufous. Hind wings reddish brown suffusion with rufous outer margin.[4]

Larval host plant is Abelmoschus esculentus.[5]
