Yazin Nizar, also credited as Yasin (born 9 February 1990) is an Indian playback singer singing in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada movies and performed live around South India and abroad including gigs in Toronto, Montreal, Dubai, Kuwait, Malaysia, London, Abu Dhabi etc. in various genres like film music, Rock, Sufi and Gazals.

Background
Yazin Nizar also credited as Yasin was born on 9 September 1990 in Kollam, Kerala. His family did not have any musical background but his father, sensing his interest in music, enrolled him for Indian classical music lessons at the age of eight. He was the recipient of Kalapratibha title in at the CBSE State and Zonal Youth Festival for two years in a row (2001–2002 and 2002–2003), winning in Carnatic music, light music, Arabic recitation, Malayalam poetry writing and Mappilappattu. He was the recipient of the Swaralaya Kairali Yesudas award for the best upcoming male voice, by winning the competition "Kairali-Gandharvasangeetham junior 2002-2003, Also a familiar face in the Malayalam TV arena winning reality shows like Surya TV Sangeetha Mmahayudam and Jeevan TV apple megastar where he had the opportunity to sing and get positive feedback from legends of the music industry including M S Viswanathan.
Yazin recorded is the first film song for the movie Punarjani at the age of 12. He also recorded numerous Hindu, Christian and Muslim devotional albums at this period. His first guru’s in Carnatic music were Ms. Beena Kumari, Mr. Noushad babu,Mr. Rajesh and Mayyanada Sri Kumar and also started Hindustani lessons. In 2011 he shifted his base from Kollam to Chennai, pursuing MBA (finance and marketing) from AMIMA.
Playback Singing Career
His very first film song was the Ashtapathi ′sritha Kamalakucha mandala′ at the age of 12 along with G Venugopal for the critically acclaimed movie "Punarjani". May June Masam, In Sharreth"music and Ee Chakkada Vandi, Manmizhi poo Maine in Shaan Rahman's music were few songs early in his career, however the first noted hit in Malayalam was the song "Ayyo" in Lal Jose movie Spanish Masala, composed by Vidyasagar in 2012, and went on to record notable songs like Vakkinullile Vingum mouname for Ozhimuri in Bijibal music, Sajalamay from 101 weddings for Deepak Dev, and Pranante Nalangal in the blockbuster movie Thattathin Marayathu for Shaan Rahman.
Major songs in 2013 included the classical fusion composed by Ouseppachan for the movie Musafir and the rap song Kattil Payum from the movie Kili Poyi, composed by Rahul Raj, He marked his debut in Tamil film’s with his first release "Avatha Payya" in national award winning director Bala’s directorial Paradesi, composed by G V Prakash and this song w as in the Kollywood music charts for a long time. He also recorded ‘ Melliya Saaral ‘for Tamil movie theeya velai Seiyyyanom kumaru for C Satya and Kataikalile for Thee kulikkum pachaimaram which was released 2013.
Yazin made his entry into 2014 singing ′Chinni Chinni in Rahul raj"s music for Malayalam flick London bridge ′ and the songs ′jananam jananam′ and oyyale in Tamil movie goli soda in tamizh followed by songs like ′en uyire’ for music director M M Sreelekha in the film Kaadhal Solla Aasai, 3 songs in the movie yaazh, sakkarakkatti in konjam kofee konjam kadhal, oru chaan from adithalam, and pattam nokki, hangover, kontayum poonoolum, vasantatinte kanalvazhikal,mylanji monjulla veedu. Major releases in tamizh included soda bottle from poojai for Yuvan Shankar Raja¸ saridhana saridhana in amarakaviyam amd yaro ival yaro ival in thirumanam enum nikkah for Ghibran ¸and songs in movies like run raja run and pungidasa and namo bhootatma in Telugu and Kannada . The singer had a prolific run in 2014 with 25 movies released in a single calendar year including releases in all 4 south Indian languages. Deepa soman from times of India quotes" Glance through his list of songs and it's quite evident that the singer is a versatile artiste."
He was the voice of the most expensive song shot in Malayalam Kolussu Thenni, singing along with Shreya Goshal, composed by M Jayachandran, this being his second song with Shreya Goshal after the title song of Telugu flick Ra Ra Krishnayya which was a Tollywood hit number .Other Notable releases in 2014 included the title song "anthichoppil from the super hit movie Vikramadityan,composed by Bijibal , veyil poyal from Bhaiyya Bhaiyya,composed by Vidyasagar and Sharon Vaniyil from, the movie "praise the lord ",composed by Shaan Rahman. Yazin’s debut appearance in the movie was for Saji Surendrans " Angry Babies in Love" ,as the singer of the Hindi song "Zindgi" which he also sang. He won the Raga Pratibha award 2013.
"More than my studies, my father took an interest in my singing career. He is a great music lover and a huge Mohammed Rafi fan. In fact, whenever we had power cuts, my father and I listen to Rafi songs on our battery-run tape recorder and sing along," says Yazin, to M Athira for ‘The Hindu"
Yazin stormed into music charts in 2015 with his songs Seetakalam from the Allu Arjun starrer Son of Satyamurthy composed by Devi Sri Prasad and the songs man on fire and Jil jil jil manasse from the movie Jil composed by Ghibran.
Idhu yenna from Katham katham and Velicham mazhaitooruthe from Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varavelikkirathu were also released in early 2015,also sang 2 songs in one of the most anticipated movies of 2015, Kamal Haasan"s Uttama villain and the song Yatra for the movie Jilebi in Malayalam. Meghalu lekunna from Kumari 21F became No.1 in iTunes India .
