Zimnik [ˈʑimnik] (German: Kalthaus) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Mściwojów, within Jawor County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Mściwojów, 7 km (4 mi) south-east of Jawor, and 57 km (35 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
