The 1999-2000 season was the 76ers' 51st season in the NBA and 37th season in Philadelphia.[1] The Sixers finished third in the Atlantic Division with a 49-33 record. Allen Iverson made his first All-Star appearance in the 2000 NBA All-Star Game. The Sixers also traded Larry Hughes to the Golden State Warriors, and acquired Toni Kukoc from the Chicago Bulls in a three team midseason trade. In the first round of the playoffs, they defeated the fourth seed Charlotte Hornets in four games, but would lose in six games to the Indiana Pacers in the semifinals.

The Sixers also added blue alternate road uniforms that lasted until 2006.
