Bernhard Lorenzen (1 March 1907 – 17 July 1983) was a highly decorated Oberst der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Bernhard Lorenzen was captured by British troops on May 1945, and was held until November 1946.
