Brooklyn Island

Brooklyn Island is a piano/synth-pop solo project created by Josh Dahl (Minneapolis MN). "The project blends a depth of soul into the world of ambient-pop, allowing melody driven songs to tell stories beyond the typical pop song." [1]

The music of Brooklyn Island is written/performed/mixed/produced entirely by Josh Dahl. Brooklyn Island is well known for the original remake/cover of Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over".

Brooklyn Island Released the debut EP Album "Restoration" on June 12, 2012 to Digital Distribution. Brooklyn Island's first full length LP is expected to debut near September 2015. A sampler of the album was leaked on their Sound Cloud site June 30, 2015.

Brooklyn Island (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) is an island 4 km (2.5 mi) long, lying 1.6 km (1 mi) south of Nansen Island in the eastern part of Wilhelmina Bay, off the west coast of Graham Land. It was discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition under Gerlache, 1897–99, and named after Brooklyn, New York, the home of Dr. Frederick A. Cook, American member of the expedition who served as surgeon, anthropologist, and photographer.
