Disney XD Asia (known as Disney XD in idents and commercials) is a cable and satellite television channel that broadcasts in Malaysia, before Southeast Asia, owned by the Disney Channels Worldwide unit of the United States-based Disney–ABC Television Group, operated by The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. Aimed primarily at male pre-teens and teenagers 6–14 years of age.[3][5]

Feeds

Disney XD first began broadcasting in Malaysia on September 15, 2012.[1] In 2013 the channel was expanded to Singapore on March 16,[2] October 19 in Indonesia and Thailand, and on May 31, 2014, in the Philippines.[4]

Future programming

Censorship

Some programming is edited due to local culture and mores to be acceptable to various audiences such as Muslims with removal of romantic plotlines, violence, profanity and some suggestive dialogue. Other local feeds such as the one in the Philippines may have more liberal censorship policies.
