Epstein–Barr virus vaccine
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The Epstein–Barr virus vaccine is a vaccine against the Epstein–Barr virus. The vaccine is not yet available,[1] but it is in clinical trials.[2][3][4] The viral protein Gp350/220 is the primary target[5] and MVA-EL[further explanation needed] has been also proposed as a target.[6]
One challenge is that the Epstein–Barr virus expresses very different proteins during its lytic and its latent phases.[which?] To address this, vaccine candidates have been designed to include proteins from both phases.[7]
