Fairmont Dubai is a 34-storey, 153 m (502 ft) skyscraper hotel completed in 2002 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and renovated in 2009 (all rooms) and in 2014 (lobby). This hotel is directly linked to the Dubai World Trade Centre (the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre), as well as to the metro system. Fairmont Dubai is also located near The Dubai Mall, the old town, the Dubai Creek and its souks, such as the Gold Souk or Spice Souk.

Building

This hotel, which is well known for being one of the first five star accommodations on Sheikh Zayed road, has been modeled after an Arabic wind tower known as Barajeel (or Windcatcher). The characteristic building along with its iconic exterior lights have become a landmark in the city's skyline.

Rooms

[4] The hotel has 394 guestrooms, including 128 suites and penthouses, as well as gold rooms with a check-in area. Most of their rooms are overlooking Sheikh Zayed road and Dubai's skyline, with views of Burj Khalifa, and sunset. On the 34th floor, some of the penthouses offer views to the Persian Gulf, Downtown Dubai and The World (archipelago). All the rooms feature air conditioning, Internet access, interactive television, mini-bar refreshment centre, tea and coffee maker, bathropes and slippers, international adapter and in-room safe among others amenities.
