The Flag of Northern Ireland from 1953 with Edwardian crown since coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, based earlier design with Tudor Crown from 1924. Otherwise known as the Ulster Flag, Ulster Banner, Red Hand of Ulster Flag, Red Hand Flag.
Used as:
- civil flag on land (1953-present). Mainly used by Unionists.
- government flag on land (1953-1972). Since 1972 the Union Flag is the only official flag.
