The International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) – Schaumburg campus was one of ten IADT locations throughout North America. Originally founded as the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, Ltd. in 1977 by Clem Stein, Jr. In 2001, the Academy changed its name to the International Academy of Design & Technology. In 2015, the school was closed.[1]

Admissions

All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative, either in person or by telephone. In addition to the interview, the following must completed prior to admission: an enrollment agreement, a student disclosure form, attestation of graduation from high school or equivalency and payment of application fee.[2]

The International Academy of Design & Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.[3]

Campus

The facilities at IADT – Schaumburg include classrooms, lecture rooms, drafting labs, design studios, and sewing and patternmaking rooms. Computer labs are equipped with Macintosh and IBM compatible personal computers with software for computer aided design (CAD), graphic design, word processing, database management, spreadsheet analysis and computer aided pattern drafting. The Schaumburg library collection has electronic resources with access to e-Books and full-text journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.
